Head Coach and Camp Director
Bo Reed
Bo Reed is a 3 time Olympic Trials Qualifier in the 10K. His best time is 28:20.
He has competed all over the world, sponsored by both Adidas and Mizuno. Before he ran professionally he ran for Northern Arizona University, where he still holds the school record for the 10k (28:20). He is also a member of the NAU Hall of Fame 1988 Men’s Cross Country Team, which placed 2 nd in the country and remains the highest placing team in NAU history.
As a coach Bo brings vast experience and creativity to the running program. He quietly demands hard work and commitment from himself and his athletes. As the former Scottsdale Community College Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach he took more than ¾ of his athletes to the National Meet every season. He has, to this date, the highest placing cross country team in SCC history when he lead the 2004 Women’s team to a 6 th place finish at the NJCAA Cross Country Championships. Under his tutelage one of his athletes became a National Champion at 1500m. He has also coached or assisted in coaching 5 All-Americans.
Bo has served as a camp counselor or coach at the NAU Track Camps for over 20 years and as many of the campers would tell you…can tell a mean ghost story and do the best impression of Bruce Springsteen’s Cadillac Ranch you’ve ever heard!
